Also, you really don't have to constantly check the site. Once you bid on a player, you know he's on the board for another 24 hours. Just remember to check-in at least once the next day. True. What I mean is the bidding for players will go on for days. As opposed to just one 24 hour period which I believe is more efficient.

What miege is saying is, there must be a set of checks and balances to maintain some sort of fairness. What do you propose the check will be aside from an honor code?

Would we put out certain players per day? How do we determine which players? Alphabetical order?
I'm intrigued by this idea.

I dont know if I like that idea.
What I do think is that there should be a max number of players out on the market at any point in time.

Would we put out certain players per day? How do we determine which players? Alphabetical order? I'm intrigued by this idea. The way I've seen it work successfully in the past is the Admins will place the better free agents into Tiers. And each week a new Tier can be bid on. At the end of the week, it is revealed who won each player from that Tier via their private bid. After the 3 or 4 tiers are complete, we can bid on any free agent. During which once a thread for a free agent is posted, 24 hours later it is determined who had the highest private bid.

You know, the very first league I ran tried that... and we ended up with some of the most bloated contracts I've ever seen. CV was in that league. I'm pretty sure Monta Ellis got like $25,000,000.

People are gonna pay what they're gonna pay. The structure of free agency I'm proposing just gets us to that end point with less energy than open bid wars.

I was wondering when Portland was going to make his move. It will be a futile endeavor to outbid Portland. Blazers reunion out there.

Im shocked at Rondo and Rubio's offers. They almost hurt you as much as they help you.

If Rubio can stay healthy (a big if), that's a really good signing. About the only thing he really kills you in is FG%
