1. Teams will be allowed 2 re-signs every 4 years.
2. When a player is up for re-sign, the owner must submit their offer and reasoning to Miege22 or Richardson239. They will discuss whether the reasoning is sufficient enough to put for a vote.
3. If Miege22 and Richardson239 do not feel the argument is solid enough, the re-signing owner will be asked to beef up their case. AN OFFER WILL NEVER BE SENT BACK BASED ON THE CONTRACT OFFER.
4. After Miege22 and Richardson239 determine that a reasonable case has been made, the offer will be posted for the league to vote on. All identifying information (player's name, owner's name, exact age) will be removed.
5. There will be re-sign levels that each re-sign eligible player will fall into. What level a player falls into will be determined by Miege22 and Richardson239.
6. The levels are as follows:
-SUPER MAX: $20,000,000
-MAX PLAYER: $15,000,000-$19,900,000
-STAR PLAYER: $10,000,000-$14,900,000
-HIGH-END ROLE PLAYER: $5,000,000-$9,900,000
-OTHER: $100,000-$4,900,000
7. Owners are NOT required to stay within these bounds. However, if offering a player less than the minimum at his respective level, they must make a VERY GOOD case. Ultimately, a deal will be passed/vetoed by the league, not the commissioners.
8. Re-signs require 7 votes from the league to pass or veto.
9. If a re-sign is denied, the re-signing team may re-group and try again. They may do this until the re-sign is approved or the re-signing team decided to no longer pursue the re-sign.
10. Teams may offer re-sign eligible players contracts for 3 years with a 4th year option.
11. The re-sign period will start in the summer of 2016 and end with the summer of 2019. The second re-sign period will take place from 2020-2023.
12. The re-sign period will be determined each off-season by the commissioners. It will take place prior to the rookie draft.
