Yeah, free agency is going to be shallow but we still have 12 roster spots. There's going to a huge difference between filling your last 4 active spots with crap and filling them with solid role players. There are a few teams here that are in for a rude awakening.

Also Robert Covington was a fantastic value pick. Super cheap. Signed long-term. Going to get minutes and get you threes and steals.
I question your judgment CV. You seem to be doing these grades based on output alone, and not output relative to their contract.

If that is all it takes for a good pick, then I should probably quit since Blazers is gonna win every championship That's not what I was saying. That's what I needed with the context of my team. If you looked at the makeup of MY team at that point in time (only 3 players, almost $50 mil in salary), taking on another player at middle to high salary would have been a death knell. There's a few teams out there that seem to have completely disregarded free agency altogether. I have no idea how they're going to fill out their rosters... I've got about 10 mil left, which I feel is enough to fill out my roster. Im not interested in getting into a bidding war for any of the mediocre players left. My issue with the pick is the players you left on the board, I agree that KCP did meet your needs but you passed up much better value at that pick, like D'Angelo Russell

No i love his contract but what is his upside, contract, and production thats how i rated a player. Like pope doesnt match your team because u should be in win win win mode now. and u could of grabbed someone else

I have to disagree on the Covington hate. The guy is a starting SF, young, averaging 13/4 with 1 steal and almost 3 3pm per game on a $1M contract for the next 3 years. To me thats the best value of the entire draft.

Not when I knew I could come back around and get a guy like Jerian Grant for a fraction of the cost. And I hope this doesn't come off as douchy, because it's not my intent, but good luck filling 6 spots with $10 mil.

To me thats the best value of the entire draft. 13 and 4 is gonna be available in free agency for cheap, unless other people choose to overpay. I'll pass on Covington's poor percentages and role that will be decreased, no matter how cheap and controllable he is

But when Noel and Okafor are manning the middle together Covington will have the wings wide open for him. And I guarantee you wont get a 13/4 player in free agency for less than $2M.
